Righteousness is the state or ability to stand before God
without blame, fault or sin.
As we saw earlier, it must be given to man by God.
You cannot earn it or achieve it.
Some are guilty of trying to establish their own righteousness.
If we can accept God’s provision, it will save us the self-
inflicted distress.
Romans 10:2-4 (KJV)
2 [For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not
according to knowledge.]
3 [For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going
about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted
themselves unto the righteousness of God.]
4 [For Christ ] is[ the end of the law for righteousness to every
one that believeth.]
We establish our own codes of conduct:
21 steps to answered prayer,
30 ways to walk with God,
100 principles uncommon favour.
6 keys to answered prayers .
We have erred.
Righteousness doesn't come in steps, it is not achieved in
motions.
It doesn't occur after applying certain principles.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto
salvation.
It comes by believing the Gospel.
The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus are the steps to
righteousness.
Romans 4:25 [Who was delivered for our offenses, and was
raised again for our justification.]
We don't obey to become righteous.
Jesus' obedience is our righteousness
Romans 5:19 [For as by one man's disobedience many were
made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made
righteous.]
With these, we have a state and a permanent status before
God ,our Father.
We are declared blameless.
Ephesians 1:3 [Blessed ] be[ the God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in
heavenly ] places[ in Christ:] 4[According as he hath chosen us
in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be
holy and without blame before him in love:]
We are now in His presence. No sense of guilt or sin or shame.
The blood of Christ has fully reconciled us. We can't be
reproved not to stand before Him
Colossians 1:21 [And you, that were sometime alienated and
enemies in] your [ mind by wicked works, yet now hath he
reconciled]
22 [In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy
and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:]
This is His sight, how He sees us.
Abraham was declared not-guilty and blameless by God. He
only believed
Genesis 15:6 And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to
him for righteousness.
We are declared not guilty by faith.
Philippians 3:9 [And be found in him, not having mine own
righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through
the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:]
This means the way into God's presence is not our way.
Not our deeds, not our efforts
It's the blood of Jesus, plus nothing, minus nothing.
Knowing this we don't think we need any other access to be
heard of the Father.
No other requirements to be met before He blesses us.
Faith in the blood has brought us into His presence for
evermore
Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the
redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25[Whom God hath set
forth ] to be[ a propitiation through faith in his blood, to
declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are
past, through the forbearance of God;]
We are there because the blood has been applied.
Righteousness is ours. His presence is ours. His gifts are ours.
Unmerited by works rather given freely through His blood and
received by faith!
We continue tomorrow.
Blessed? Say I am blameless and unreproveable before the
Father. I stand Only on the merits of Jesus blood and
righteousness. The blood plus nothing minus nothing has done
everything
