Dear Young minister
In choosing a mentor/ pastor / spiritual father ,learn from
scriptures .
Except it's a business mentor don't choose based on financial
wherewithal .even though ministries do Need to have these
too ,but that must never be the measure .
If it's for real estate ,then check the buildings and property he
has or his ministry owns ,even though ministries own such
possessions but it's never the standard .
If it's for crowd and numbers ,Pope Benedict will do you well
with the earlier aforementioned in excellent possession plus "
simplicity "," humility " and " charity ",whilst it's true the gospel
does get and influences multitudes ,yet this isn't the litmus
test .
Those above are too earthly to ascertain proper scriptural
mentorship .
Except for reasons mentioned i.e business etc
Otherwise if it's for scriptural mentorship your model should be
paul and Timothy ,or paul and Titus
Read these verses and get understanding
2 Timothy 2:2 KJV
[2] And the things that thou hast heard of me among many
witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be
able to teach others also.

2 Timothy 3:14-17 KJV
[14] But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned
and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned
them ;
[15] And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures,
which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith
which is in Christ Jesus.
16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable
for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness:
[17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished
unto all good works.

[9] Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that
he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to
convince the gainsayers.
Ensure what you are receiving is precise and accurate
exegesis of scriptures coupled with impartation via Gods gift
2 Timothy 1:6 KJV
[6] Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the
gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
Never forget ,who ever is your mentor / spiritual father / pastor
isn't for temporary measures till you get your own crowd ,TV
following etc .
It's no competition but fulfilling Gods plan for your life .
