We have been called unto Liberty

We must stand in this liberty and not shift ground for bondage

[1] Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Yet in this Liberty ,we must walk in the Word and not give opportunity for the flesh

We must not chance our fantasies upon spiritual realities

The church meeting is not a play ground .
Paul gave this warning

We mustn't despise the assembly

There's a way to and not to behave in the house of God

Why do we clap in the church services ?
We claim to clap to keep up beats to songs even though we still use drums etc ,
As per clapping during songs,it's without much ado that clapping is neither praise nor for worship .

Why then do we clap at the preaching or teaching of Gods word ?
We clap at the choir after singing
We clap at the sick being healed
We clap when gifts of the spirit are in demonstration
What is wrong with us ?
The above mentioned aren't entertainment that require applauding or applause !
When the word is taught we receive with meekness and joy
When the sick are healed ,we give glory to God
When the gifts are in demonstration ,we receive edification ,participate and judge as the case may be
No place in scriptures where ministers were so applauded for the Word or miracles amongst believers
Unbelievers could do this

This ought to be the attitude of all ministers including choirs.
Someone told me once " but can't we celebrate the minister ?"
We can but not applaud his ministry ,his ministry is a gift from God and his efforts are equally up for reward by God

Ministry is a holy calling not a celebrity status

It's not a talent .
We honor God for His gift and not take the servant as a celebrity .
If we don't applaud people after leading us in prayer why applaud the choir who lead us in praise .
Praise and prayer are worship .

We bow our knees .

Let's be orderly and separate and distinguish the church from the cinema
Clapping to welcome guests might be culturally acceptable ,to celebrate earthly events like marriage ,birthdays or for natural talents and things
But not for the gift or gifts of God .
Some might ask ," but would this stop Gods spirit from moving "
Practice order and properness and see how much of Gods spirit moving you haven't seen
