learn from nicodemus ,barnabas and peterJohn 3:1-2 KJV[1] There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: [2] The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.Nicodemus is that brother or minister who feeds from ministers he doesn't acknowledge publicly .He knew Jesus was a teacher .He obviously was learning from his teachingHe knew he worked miracles .But for public image ,he can't be seen learning from Jesus .To call Jesus " Rabbi " says a lot ,but why privately .A ruler of the synagogue is expected to be more knowledgable ,sound ,has more experience etc ,so acknowledging Jesus won't be good image ,He would rather send it via inbox ,send an email ,whatsaap ,etc ...What is he protecting ? Ego ,image .Jesus "subbed" him wellJohn 3:10 KJV[10] Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?Experience doesn't count for insight or miracles .When you don't know ,YOU DONT KNOW !As simple as abc .Nicodemus is a secret disciple ,he is an ego driven leader ,who wants to secretly ask questions and feed of others and sound original before all.Joseph of Arimathaea seemed same tooJohn 19:38-40 KJV[38] And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave.
