The Scriptures are inspired of God.
When read together it gives us the Revelation of God.
However we must take note of what the scriptures say about
itself.
There is no external instruction and instructor provided for
outside the bible.
We must ALWAYS allow the scriptures interpret itself. Looking
for intended meanings many times lands people into trouble
for the scriptures is (are) a material well-revealed and
interpreted.
Jesus Christ, The Son of God, the saviour of the whole world
is the Word of God. This means He is the intended meaning of
the Scriptures.
The phrase "The Word of God" refers to the reason, revelation,
logic, thought-pattern of God. This readily implies there is a
mind-set God has given concerning the scriptures. Let's see
how bible study can be fruitful and not a mere frolic for us all.
John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have
eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
The Body of the Book is a testimony of Him.
At this point never forget He refers to what we call the Old
Testament- Genesis to Malachi.
Luke 24: 25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of
heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter
into his glory?
27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he
expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things
concerning himself.
This was a major Bible study. He went through ALL the
scriptures and showed them that it was all about Him. Again,
this refers to Genesis to Malachi.
Luke 24: 44 And he said unto them, These are the words
which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things
must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and
in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might
understand the scriptures,
Without much ado, this is an eye opener.
To UNDERSTAND THE SCRIPTURES, you must realise it ONLY
reveals Christ Jesus. Again, never forget it’s referring to
Genesis to Malachi.
This is the reason Jesus is Called The Word of God. He is the
Revelation. The Reason. The Testimony. Let's figure this out.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was
with God, and the Word was God.
He preceded the scriptures, as the scriptures wrote
concerning the beginning; hence the writer of Genesis couldn’t
have been there. Rather the revelation of the Genesis account
preceded creation. This is a Person. (John 1: 2-16).
John 1: 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among
us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten
of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Hence, the story of Christ doesn't start with Matthew. Rather
Matthew begins the narration of the Word became flesh (His
incarnation), while Genesis is the beginning of the Story of The
Person called The Word!
Hebrews 4: 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and
sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the
dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and
marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the
heart.
13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his
sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of
him with whom we have to do.
Good stuff. The word of God here is referred to as "His and
Him" AGAIN, pointing out a person to us.
At this point it is clear from the scriptures that the WHOLE
book is about ONE person. His work, His deeds and His
nature. It is therefore safe to say- The Bible is A
CHRISTOCENTRIC, CHRIST-CENTERED, FOCUSED, ONLY
REVEALING BOOK! Any deviation will be fatal and dangerous.
Seen This? Say I receive The Scriptures as The revelation of
Christ and this is the only mind set of the Book!
